Dambai Zongo Chief calls for unity after food donation rejection

The Chief of Dambai Zongo, Aremeyaw Issah, has called for collaboration. He made this request to Mustapha Gbande, the NDC National Deputy Secretary. This follows the rejection of food items meant for the community.

Youth members turned away Ramadan food donations. They did this due to alleged disrespectful remarks from the NDC official. This incident has sparked discussions about youth groups and traditional leadership in the Zongo community.

In an interview with Adom News, Chief Issah emphasized unity and cooperation. He said the rejection was due to miscommunication. He expressed regret over any misunderstandings regarding the NDC’s intentions.

“We must work together,” he stated. He urged that resources intended for the community should be used effectively. The youth should engage in constructive dialogue with leaders and political figures.

He stressed that the focus should be on the community's well-being, not political differences.

Other Zongo chiefs also apologized to the NDC for the youth’s actions. They advised party leadership to channel future donations through traditional authorities. This could help prevent similar incidents in the future.
