Deal for printing industry:  GH¢564.6m to remain in economy  …as textbooks will be printed locally - President - Ghanaian Times

President John Dramani Mahama has announced a major deal for local printing. The government will print all textbooks for basic schools in Ghana.

This initiative will keep the GH¢564.6 million for textbook printing within the economy.

During his ‘Thank You’ visit to Tamale, he addressed local chiefs and residents. He stated that the “no textbook phenomenon” is now over.

He reminded everyone that the previous administration changed the curriculum but did not provide textbooks for students.
