Deeper Life Bible Church baptises more converts to climax Easter retreat

More than 70 new converts were baptized into the Christian faith. This event marked the end of a five-day Easter retreat. The retreat took place at Ayakomaso in the Sunyani West Municipality. It welcomed young boys and girls aged 13 to 15 into the church’s Youth Ministry. These new members graduated from the Children's Ministry after receiving biblical teachings.

Pastor Robert Lugushie led the baptism ceremony. He is the Bono Regional Coordinator of the Deeper Life Bible Church. Local pastors, including Pastors Charles Ollu and Francis Kodom, assisted him. They are from the New-Dormaa and Agozo branches of the church.

During a sermon, Pastor Lugushie addressed hundreds of young people at the campgrounds. He emphasized that “the blood of Jesus Christ shed on Calvary is still potent to save them from their sins.” He reassured them that “no true Christian will ever be regretted here or hereafter.”

He urged youth to maintain their faith in Christ. They should remain patient for God's plans to unfold in their lives. Pastor Lugushie stated that true blessings and success come only from God.

He encouraged new converts to be perseverant and cautious of temptations. They should also be resilient against persecution in their newfound faith. He explained that worldly persecutions are tactics used by the devil to weaken their commitment to Christ.

“Sometimes God allows these trials to build your faith,” he said. Pastor Lugushie advised new converts to read their Bibles and pray regularly. This spiritual discipline would help them overcome temptations and stay steadfast in Christ, he promised eternal rewards for their efforts.
