Defence Minister Dr. Edward Omane Boamah has condemned MP Rev. Ntim Fordjour. He criticized Fordjour for making reckless allegations against President John Mahama's administration.
Dr. Boamah shared his statement on Facebook on April 4, 2025. He suggested that the MP's remarks were driven by a desire for recognition within his party. He claimed these statements lacked factual evidence.
At a press conference in Accra, Rev. Ntim Fordjour discussed two flights. These were Cavok Air’s Antonov-An 128B and AirMed flight N823AM. He stated that both aircraft landed at KIA from Gran Canaria on March 12 and 20, 2025.
Fordjour claimed there was no medical referral or patient on board AirMed. Instead, he alleged the aircraft was used to smuggle illicit cargo.
Dr. Boamah accused Rev. Fordjour of spreading misinformation out of hatred and ambition. He questioned how a Reverend could engage in sensationalism and smear campaigns.
The Minister urged the MP to seek facts before speaking publicly. He accused Fordjour of deliberately misleading the public with false claims.
Dr. Boamah noted that video evidence disproved the MP’s allegations about the aircraft landings. He called on Rev. Fordjour to "repent" and stop making untruthful statements.
He expressed disappointment that someone with religious influence would resort to such tactics. Dr. Boamah warned that the MP's quest for recognition among hardliners would ultimately fail, emphasizing truth and accountability in public discourse.
