The Minister for Defence, Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, thanked Northern Chiefs from the Central Region. They visited to congratulate him and support national efforts.

He appreciated the chiefs' praise for the Mahama administration's handling of the Bawku chieftaincy conflict.
“I value their commendation of our impartial stance,” he said. He emphasized trust in traditional resolution methods.
Dr. Boamah highlighted the chiefs’ engagement about future recruitment into the Ghana Armed Forces.
He found their suggestions “objective” and timely. This is important for fair enlistment across all regions.
“Their discussion on future recruitments is welcome,” he added.
In closing, Dr. Boamah thanked the chiefs for their encouragement and recognition of public service efforts.
“Thank you, esteemed chiefs, for acknowledging our work,” he wrote. He pledged to continue focusing on peace, unity, and national security.
