Defence and Interior Committee seeks partnership with DCAF on security governance

Parliament’s select committee on Defence and Interior recently met with officials from the DCAF Geneva Centre for Security Sector Governance.

The meeting focused on potential partnerships to benefit Ghana's security governance.

Rev. John Ntim Fordjour, the ranking member, and his deputy, Kofi Amankwah Manu, represented the committee. They met with the DCAF team on Wednesday, May 14, 2025.

Discussions included how Ghana can strengthen its resilience in security matters. The goal is to adopt best practices from around the world.

The committee emphasized the importance of institutional partnerships with Ghana’s security-related committees. Such collaborations are vital for ensuring stability in Ghana and the surrounding region.

DCAF has over 50 partner countries globally, including eight in Africa.
