Delta Airlines to begin direct Accra–Atlanta flights in December

Delta Air Lines will launch a new daily nonstop service. This route connects Accra, Ghana, to Atlanta, USA. It starts on December 1, 2025.

The announcement came from Kingdom Concepts Consult. They issued a press release shared with the Ghana News Agency.

This new route aims to improve travel for Ghanaians. It will reduce layovers and enhance convenience when flying to the U.S.

The Atlanta-Accra service will use an Airbus A330-900neo. This modern aircraft features Delta One Suites, Premium Select, Comfort+, and Main Cabin seating.

This route marks Delta’s second direct connection between Ghana and the U.S. It shows the airline's ongoing investment in Ghana's aviation market.

Atlanta is Delta’s largest hub and the world’s busiest airport. It offers seamless connections to over 215 destinations in the U.S. Popular cities include Miami, Dallas, Washington D.C., Los Angeles, and Honolulu.

The new service will benefit Ghanaians traveling for business or family visits. It is also ideal for seasonal festivities like “Detty December.”

Passengers on this route will enjoy complimentary high-speed Delta Sync Wi-Fi. This allows streaming content, accessing real-time updates, and shopping online during flights.

This development is part of Delta’s effort to enhance connectivity. The airline is installing dual-network systems on regional and newly delivered aircraft.

With growing demand for travel between Ghana and the U.S., Delta remains committed to providing efficient travel experiences. They aim to ensure comfort and digital connectivity for all passengers.

Delta has been operating in Ghana for over a decade now. The airline views this new route as vital for strengthening ties between both countries through air travel.
