Deputy AG drags Minority Leader Afenyo-Markin over 'malicious falsehoods' in Parliament

In a recent parliamentary session, Deputy Attorney General Alfred Tuah-Yeboah confronted Minority Leader Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu over allegations of spreading falsehoods regarding the government's actions. The tension arose when Afenyo Markin accused the government of failing to uphold its promises, particularly concerning the implementation of policies that would benefit Ghanaians. Tuah-Yeboah vehemently defended the government's record, asserting that such claims were not only misleading but also detrimental to public trust.

The Deputy AG emphasized the importance of accountability and urged parliamentarians to engage in constructive dialogue rather than resorting to unfounded accusations. He highlighted specific achievements of the government aimed at improving citizens' lives, arguing that these successes should be recognized instead of overshadowed by negativity.

Tuah-Yeboah's remarks underscored a broader call for unity and collaboration among lawmakers, stressing that political discourse should focus on facts rather than divisive rhetoric. This incident reflects ongoing tensions within Ghana's political landscape as leaders navigate their responsibilities while addressing public concerns effectively.
