President John Dramani Mahama informed Vice President Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang about her health assessment. Medical professionals said she appeared 20 years younger.
Mahama acknowledged the positive health report but advised her to take it slow. He welcomed Professor Jane Naana back in Accra on Thursday, May 22.
During a briefing at the presidency, Mahama said, “The doctors say you are 20 years younger.” He added that she is fit for her role. However, he suggested she take it easy for a while.
Vice President Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang expressed gratitude to God and her medical team. She thanked President Mahama for his support during her recent illness. She also highlighted Ibrahim Mahama's efforts, saying he was very helpful.
Speaking at Kotoka International Airport on May 22, she said, “I want to thank all of you for your prayers and good wishes.” She emphasized her appreciation for Ibrahim Mahama’s support during her hospital stay.
She concluded by expressing happiness about being back and optimism about their work ahead.
