Former Defence Minister Dominic Nitiwul has advised newly appointed ministers to avoid arrogance and disregard for experienced ministry staff.
Speaking in Parliament on February 4, 2025, he warned that those who assume they know everything or prioritize personal gain will struggle in their roles.
Nitiwul cited past examples of NPP appointees who failed due to their approach. He emphasized that lasting in a ministerial position requires humility, teamwork, and a commitment to national service.
Acknowledging the challenges ahead, he commended ministers who have served beyond four years, noting that their resilience deserves recognition.
His remarks serve as a cautionary note to the new government officials stepping into leadership roles.
