Dompoase SHS cries for infrastructural development

Okofo Kwabena Bonsu, the Dompoasehene, spoke at a recent event.

The Dompoase Senior High School (SHS) is in the Adansi North District. It has over 2,000 students and was established 60 years ago. The school faces urgent infrastructural challenges.

Headmaster James Obiri-Yeboah addressed the launch of the school's 60th Anniversary. The theme was “60 Years Of Transforming Lives In a Technological World: The Role Of Stakeholders.” He highlighted the need for an 18-unit classroom block with offices for department heads.

Mr. Obiri-Yeboah also mentioned the need for Masters' Bungalows to house teachers on campus. He called for an ultra-modern Dining Hall to serve many students. Additionally, he noted that toilet facilities are inadequate.

The headmaster requested more dormitories for boys and girls. These should accommodate between 400 and 600 students.

Dompoasehene Okofo Kwabena Bonsu expressed concern about examination malpractices among students. He advised both teachers and students to avoid such practices.

He emphasized that no parent wants to send their child to a school with rampant cheating. The chief threatened strict actions against any teacher involved in these issues.

This report comes from Frederick Danso Abeam in Adansi Dompoase.
