Don’t fail Mahama – Otumfuo cautions govt appointees

Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has given advice to government appointees. He spoke during a visit to Jubilee House on June 2. He urged them to stay focused and honor the trust placed in them.

Otumfuo emphasized integrity, humility, and dedication in their roles. He warned that their performance reflects on President Mahama and the NDC. “Don’t lose sight of your responsibilities,” he said.

He reminded them that Ghanaians have entrusted the country to President Mahama. The president has assigned responsibilities to them because he trusts them. “Do not fail him,” Otumfuo declared.

He highlighted the president’s strong stance against corruption. Appointees should align with this vision, he advised. “If you are here to loot, there is no place for that,” he cautioned.

Otumfuo encouraged officials to embrace their roles sincerely and humbly. Their commitment will shape the administration's legacy, he noted. “Focus on your duties with truth and humility,” he advised.

His visit highlights his efforts for accountability and responsible governance in Ghana. As the country looks ahead under President Mahama’s leadership, these values are crucial.
