During a meeting with police in the Ashanti Region, Muntaka Mubarak spoke about illegal activities. He said foreigners involved in illegal mining and fraud will be repatriated. The Government no longer wants to prosecute these individuals.
Mubarak warned that police officers engaging in misconduct will face consequences. He noted issues where fraudulent citizens are arrested but recorded as Ghanaians. "If we find any officer involved in this, disciplinary measures will be taken," he stated.
He also instructed the police to clear ‘Tinker Island’ within six months. This area is known for drug trade in the Kumasi metropolis.
