Dr Alhassan Iddrisu appointed Ag. Govt Statistician

President John Dramani Mahama has appointed Dr. Alhassan Iddrisu as Acting Government Statistician. This appointment is pending consultations with the Council of State.

Dr. Iddrisu replaces Professor Samuel K. Annim.

A statement from Felix Kwakye Ofosu, the President's Spokesperson, announced this news. The statement was shared with The Ghanaian Times in Accra yesterday.

Dr. Iddrisu is an experienced economist and public sector leader. He has a distinguished career in Ghana’s Ministry of Finance.

Currently, Dr. Iddrisu serves as Director of the Economic Strategy and Research Division. In this role, he leads efforts in macroeconomic analysis and forecasting. He also oversees policy research and assessments of real and external sectors.
