Dr Ayine is under pressure to 'hang NPP officials and disgrace the party' - Vincent Assafuah

Ekow Vincent Assafuah, the MP for Old Tafo in Ashanti Region, is surprised by Dr. Dominic Ayine's actions. Dr. Ayine is the Minister for Justice and Attorney General.

Assafuah claims he knows Dr. Ayine well. He believes this behavior is not typical of him.

He suspects pressure from the government or party influences Dr. Ayine's actions. Assafuah thinks this may be an attempt to embarrass NPP officials.

His concerns arise from a recent press conference held by Dr. Ayine. During this event, he discussed alleged corruption by former NPP officials.

On Monday, Dr. Ayine revealed several corruption cases uncovered by the new NDC government. This was part of President's Operation Recover All Loots (ORAL) initiative.

The operation aims to combat corruption and hold offenders accountable.

Among the cases mentioned are Kwabena Adu Boahene's alleged embezzlement and a ghost names scandal at the National Service Authority.

Adu Boahene's lawyers argue that the Attorney General has prejudged their client’s guilt.

Despite this, Assafuah insists that if Adu Boahene is guilty, no one in the NPP should defend him.
