A recent photo of Deputy Majority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin wearing a Masonic apron sparked curiosity. This shows that many Ghanaians are fascinated by Freemasonry.
Research reveals that Freemasons occupy high positions, but their membership often remains unknown. Here are ten prominent Freemasons in Ghana and their contributions to national development.
1. Dr. Ernest Addison
He is the Governor of the Bank of Ghana. Dr. Addison has been an active Freemason for many years.
2. Nana Otuo Siriboe
Nana Otuo Siriboe chairs the Council of State. He is a prominent traditional ruler and a member of the society.
3. Ayikoi Otoo
Ayikoi Otoo serves as Ghana's Ambassador to Canada. He was previously Attorney General under former President John Kufuor.
4. Albert Kan-Dapaah
Albert Kan-Dapaah is the Minister of National Security. He is also a chartered accountant and long-time Freemason.

The Grand Lodge of Ghana denies claims about engaging in human sacrifices for wealth or power, stating these perceptions stem from unscrupulous individuals misrepresenting their activities.
