After more than six years of impactful service, Dr. Kwabena Bempah Tandoh has stepped down as Deputy Director-General (Quality and Access) of the Ghana Education Service (GES), effective February 21, 2025.
During his tenure, he played a pivotal role in improving teaching, learning, and educational access nationwide.
He oversaw key initiatives, including the Double Track System under the Free SHS policy, the $218.7 million GALOP project, and Ghana’s Education in Emergency Policy.
Dr. Tandoh also championed curriculum reforms, professional learning platforms, and teacher training programs.
Reflecting on his service, he expressed pride in expanding education access and quality. As he moves on to new ventures, his contributions remain a cornerstone of Ghana’s evolving education sector.
