Dr Nyaho-Tamakloe cautions against corruption in political, judicial systems

Dr. Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe, a founding member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has issued a warning. He says Ghana could face a mass revolt if corruption is not addressed. This corruption exists in both political and judicial systems.

He accused past governments of perpetuating this issue since independence. He described corruption as a national cancer affecting all leadership levels. This includes young people entering politics.

Dr. Nyaho-Tamakloe expressed concern about Ghana's slow progress over the past sixty years. He compared Ghana to Malaysia, which started at a similar level but has developed much faster.

He spoke at the West Africa International Press Limited (WAIPL)’s 2025 Eminent Africans Global Integrity Conference and Awards in Accra on Wednesday. The event aimed to uplift voices that challenge injustice and influence public discourse for inclusive development.
