Dr. Tony Aubynn clarifies allegations of supporting galamsey, vows to sue instigators

Former CEO of the Minerals Commission, Dr. Tony Aubynn, has denied allegations of supporting illegal mining (galamsey) following a controversial video.

Speaking on Channel One TV, Dr. Aubynn clarified that his presence in the video, which dates back to 2020, was misinterpreted.

He emphasized that he did not condone illegal mining and was committed to regulating the industry. Dr. Aubynn expressed frustration at being misrepresented and vowed to sue those spreading the false accusations.

He insisted that his words were taken out of context, and he never advocated for illegal mining.
