Dreams FC: Shy Winfred Dormon remains tightlipped on interest in head coach role

Dreams FC will decide on Winfred Dormon's promotion as head coach at season’s end. This follows the departure of Abdul Karim Zito.

Dormon has been acting head coach since Zito left for Asante Kotoko last month. He says he is focused on his current task. He will accept whatever choice the club makes.

After last Sunday's 4-1 loss to Asante Kotoko, Dormon spoke about his role. He said, "I must manage the rest of the games and prepare my team." He added that the decision is up to management.

Dormon mentioned three remaining games: Berekum Chelsea, Accra Lions, and Legon Cities. He noted that these matches are challenging and require focus.

He joined Dreams FC in June 2019 as head coach. Before that, he was an assistant to Finnish coach Juha Pasoja. Dormon also assisted three other coaches: Karim Zito, Vladislav Viric, and Ignatius Osei-Fosu.

Since taking over from Zito, Dormon has led Dreams FC in two matches. They won 2-1 against Karela United but lost to Asante Kotoko. Currently, Dreams FC is 9th on the league table with 43 points after 31 matches.
