E/R: Hunter shoots lover at Akyem Nyafoman

A 55-year-old hunter, Yaw Avorda, is under police supervision. He allegedly shot and killed his 51-year-old lover, Yaa Comfort. This incident took place in Akyem Nyafoman, Birim North District.

The shooting reportedly happened while Yaa Comfort was bathing. Eyewitnesses claim that Yaw Avorda used a gun to shoot her. This led to her tragic death.

Victoria Teye, the mother of the deceased, spoke with CTV's reporter Afia Agyeimaa Budu. She recounted the events leading up to the incident. Victoria called for justice and urged authorities to act.

Community members revealed that the couple had marital issues. They separated about three weeks before the shooting occurred. Residents expressed concern and urged police to prevent further violence.

Yaa Comfort's body has been taken to Abirem Government Mortuary. Meanwhile, Yaw Avorda remains hospitalized under strict police watch.
