More than 700 residents of Begoro received free medical screenings. This event was organized by the Begorohene, Daasebre Mireku Afari II. He also serves as the Okyeman Benkumhene.

The health outreach took place at the Begoro Event Centre. It offered services like blood pressure checks and diabetes testing. General health consultations were also provided.

Elderly residents, women, and children benefited most from this initiative. These groups are considered vulnerable in the community.

Participants received important health education on various topics. These included kidney health, mental wellbeing, and maternal care. They also learned about managing blood pressure and reproductive health issues.

Madam Berikiso Mensah is the Fanteakwa North Health Director. She praised the initiative for its high turnout. This showed the pressing health needs in the area.

She identified common conditions like hypertension and heart failure. Menstrual disorders, infertility, and visual impairments were also noted. Madam Mensah emphasized the importance of reaching underserved residents.

The outreach aimed to promote health awareness among locals. Free medication was given to patients with certain conditions. Prescriptions were provided for medications not available on-site.

Residents could register for the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) at no cost. This ensures continued access to basic healthcare services.

Madam Mensah encouraged Ghanaians to prioritize regular check-ups. She expressed concern over neglecting preventive healthcare measures.
