EC Chair Jean Mensa calls for stronger push towards gender equality

Electoral Commission (EC) Chairperson Jean Mensa has reaffirmed the need for continued efforts toward gender equality, acknowledging progress while stressing the need for further action.

In a statement marking International Women’s Day on March 8, she praised the EC’s female staff for their dedication in delivering Ghana’s credible 2024 elections.

She also honored women who have contributed to the EC’s development over the past three decades.

While recognizing Ghana’s strides in gender inclusion, Mensa emphasized that challenges remain and urged stakeholders to intensify efforts for a more inclusive society.

She encouraged young women to stay determined, highlighting their resilience as a source of inspiration.
