A scandal has emerged involving missing electrical equipment for national power distribution.

Reports indicate that containers shipped to Ghana for ECG operations have disappeared. Their disappearance occurred under suspicious circumstances.

The issue was first highlighted in a report. This report revealed procurement irregularities and questionable transactions within ECG.

The National Security Council Secretariat is actively pursuing those responsible for the missing containers. They confirmed that more individuals have been arrested, raising the total to 14 suspects.

Chief Superintendent Osman Alhassan, Director of Investigations at the Secretariat, shared this information during a tour. He visited aluminum smelting companies near Shai Hills linked to melting stolen cables into aluminum rods for export.
