ECG encourages Ghanaians to report power outages promptly

Charles Nii Ayiku Ayiku is the General Manager for External Communications at ECG. He has urged customers to report power outages quickly. This will help ensure a swift response.

His appeal comes after many complaints across the country. Residents in Accra are particularly affected by erratic power supply, known as dumsor.

On Sunday, April 27, 2025, Mr. Nii Ayiku Ayiku spoke on Channel One TV. He apologized for the inconvenience and explained that not all faults are detected immediately.

He said, "I do apologize for the challenges some of our customers are experiencing." He noted that customers should call their district office or helpline for assistance.

He added, "Some issues may not show up on our systems." It is important to contact their fault team when problems arise. Many challenges are temporary tripping issues that require awareness to resolve.

Mr. Nii Ayiku Ayiku encouraged customers to reach out when outages occur. "We will come quickly and restore power," he assured them.
