ECG installs mobile transformer in Tseaddo to meet growing power demand

The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) is responding to rising electricity demand in Tseaddo and nearby areas.

They have started installing a mobile transformer to improve power supply. This mobile unit is rated at 20/26 MVA and operates at 33/11 kV. It was transported to Tseaddo at 2:00 AM today for installation.

The transformer will temporarily support part of the load from the La Primary Substation. The project is fully funded by ECG.

Communities expected to benefit include Tseaddo, La, Teshie, and surrounding areas. This initiative aims to enhance power quality and boost operational efficiency.

It also supports socio-economic development in these communities. Although the mobile transformer is temporary, it ensures continuous power supply until the La Primary Substation upgrade is complete.
