ECG missing containers: NDC “gave wings to containers to fly”; Ntim Fordjour calls for investigations - Metro TV Online

In response to the missing containers from the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry, Michael Okyere Baafi, criticized the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for attempting to shift blame onto the current government. He emphasized that the NDC's claims are unfounded and suggested that they should take responsibility for their past actions rather than deflecting accountability. The controversy centers around allegations of mismanagement during their tenure, which has led to significant losses.

Furthermore, Ntim Fordjour, a member of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), reinforced Baafi's statements by asserting that the NDC is trying to divert attention from their failures. He urged them not to fabricate stories about "flying containers" as a means of evading scrutiny. The ongoing debate highlights tensions between the two parties regarding governance and accountability in managing state resources effectively.
