ECG to cut power for maintenance in Ofankor, Apremdo, Kwesimintsim, and Other areas on April 29

The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) will conduct maintenance on April 29, 2025. This work will affect parts of the Greater Accra and Western Regions. The goal is to improve electricity service delivery.

In Greater Accra, maintenance will occur from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Areas affected include Mensvic Hotel, Lancet Medical Laboratory, and Franko Estate. Other impacted locations are Ofankor and nearby communities.

In the Western Region, maintenance will take place from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. Affected areas include Agona, Dupaul, Apremdo, and Whindo. Communities like Kwesimintsim, Assakae, Mpatado, and Adientem will also be impacted.

ECG regrets any inconvenience caused by this maintenance work. They ask for customer patience as this is essential for improving power reliability.

Recent rainstorms have caused additional power outages in some areas. These storms led to fallen trees and damaged electrical conductors. While temporary outages are usually fixed quickly, permanent damage takes longer to repair.

Customers should report any fallen or sagging conductors or localized outages promptly. Reports can be made via the ECG Call Center at 0302-611611 or at local ECG offices. Customers can also reach out through social media @ECGghOfficial on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

ECG assures customers they are working hard to maintain a strong distribution network. Their team is committed to ensuring safety and comfort for all customers.

Customers are encouraged to cooperate with ECG staff during maintenance operations. Staying updated through official communication platforms is also advised.
