The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has cautioned restaurants, nightclubs, religious groups, and entertainment venues to curb noise-making or face sanctions.

The EPA plans to deploy security and intelligence officers nationwide to enforce compliance, targeting facilities and individuals violating noise regulations under the Environmental Protection Agency Act 1994 (Act 490) and LI 1652.

Public Service Workers Union Chairman Godsway Lawson Daniels emphasized the right to worship and entertain responsibly, urging institutions to avoid disturbing others.

Chairman Daniels commended the EPA management for fostering collaboration with the union, highlighting achievements in 2024, and expressed optimism for further progress in the coming year.

He extended holiday greetings to all EPA staff, reaffirming the union’s commitment to improving worker welfare while maintaining Ghana’s environmental standards.
