EU, IOM launch €2.9m ‘ATUU’ project to enhance migration governance - Ghanaian Times

The European Union (EU) and the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) have launched a new project in Ghana.

This three-year initiative is called the “ATUU” project. It has a budget of €2.9 million.

The goal of the project is to improve migration governance in Ghana. It aims to help manage migration effectively and ensure it benefits everyone.

The project will enhance support for vulnerable migrants at national and local levels. It builds on previous EU-IOM initiatives that focused on strengthening institutional capacity and improving data collection.

Additionally, “ATUU” plans to create a national referral mechanism. This will help reintegrate returnees into Ghanaian society sustainably.
