Dr. Samuel Awuku, a member of the National Education Reform Committee, has disclosed that since its inauguration by President John Mahama, the committee has received 1,501 suggestions from Ghanaians at home and abroad.
Speaking ahead of the first public hearing in Ho, he noted that key concerns include reviewing the Free SHS programme, school feeding, governance structures, leadership, and education quality.
The committee is set to hold similar engagements nationwide, with the next forum scheduled for the Western Region.
The initiative aims to reshape Ghana’s basic and secondary education system.
