Educational fund in memory of Teacher Kwakye launched

The family of the late Augustus Kofi Kwakye, known as Teacher Kwakye, has started the Teacher Kwakye Educational Fund. This fund honors his legacy in mathematics education. It also aims to support talented but needy students.

Rev. Harrison Amponsah launched the fund during a commemorative service. This event marked the first anniversary of Teacher Kwakye's passing. It took place at Calvary Presbyterian Church in Akyem Awisa.

Teacher Kwakye was born on August 8, 1949. He passed away on February 21, 2024. He was celebrated for his dedication to teaching mathematics.

Throughout his career, he helped many students succeed. Many had failed mathematics multiple times before meeting him. With his help, they achieved the pass mark needed for tertiary education.
