Effutu NDC supporters protest over James Kofi Annan’s exclusion from appointments

Discontent is brewing among National Democratic Congress (NDC) supporters in the Effutu constituency over the exclusion of their 2024 Parliamentary Candidate, James Kofi Annan, from President John Mahama’s list of appointees.

Angry supporters stormed the NDC constituency office, chanting protest songs and vandalizing property to express their frustration.

They argue that James Kofi Annan’s dedication during the elections merits recognition and are urging party leadership to intervene.

“We sacrificed for the party, and James Kofi Annan deserves an appointment,” Awo Sagoe, a resident, told Citi News.

Supporters emphasized his influence in spurring development in Effutu and called on leaders like Minority Leader Ato Forson and Vice President Naana Opoku Agyemang to address their grievances.
