Ejisu MP donates 200 dual desks to Onwe SHS

Kwabena Boateng, the Member of Parliament for Ejisu, donated 200 dual desks to Onwe Senior High School. This donation follows a report by Channel One News. The report highlighted significant challenges at Onwe SHS, including a lack of furniture.

The school also struggles with inadequate classrooms and missing facilities. They need a science lab, an ICT lab, and projectors. The MP has promised to address these educational issues in the constituency.

"I have noted their other needs," he said. "They need a completed science lab and materials for science education." He expressed his commitment to support Onwe SHS and other schools in his area.

Students shared their gratitude for the new chairs. They said sitting on the floor during classes was difficult. "Now we can study comfortably," one student remarked.

Another student added that many were leaving school early before the donation. They called on the government to help with other pressing issues at the school. "We need more support for labs and boarding houses," they urged.

Students previously had to sit on floors during exams, which was challenging. "We are happy about the chairs; they will improve our focus," another student stated.

Monica Addai-Appiah, Assistant Head in charge of Academics, thanked the MP for his support. She emphasized that getting chairs had been a major challenge for them.

She also appealed for additional resources like printers, projectors, and completion of their boarding house to reduce classroom congestion.
