Election 2028: NPP will suffer if internal contest is acrimonious—Coka warns

Odeneho Kwaku Appiah, known as Chairman Coka, is a key member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP). He has warned party members to be careful about their words during internal contests.

Coka believes the NPP will present only one candidate to Ghanaians. He cautioned that negative comments about fellow party members could harm the NPP in the 2028 elections.

He expressed a desire for the Mike Ocquaye report to be released. This report could help guide party members' statements and actions.

In a Facebook post, he urged supporters of candidates to show respect. He said, “You can support whoever you want, but do it peacefully.”

Coka emphasized that they must market the eventual winner to voters. He reminded everyone that Ghanaians will support only one NPP candidate. Therefore, it's important to be cautious with words now.

He concluded by wishing for the Mike Oquaye report's release and asked for understanding among party members.
