The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Cape Coast, Prof. Johnson Nyarko Boampong, is seeking the Asantehene's support amid a leadership crisis at the university.
A Cape Coast High Court injunction, filed by a resident of Kasoa, has temporarily barred Prof.
Boampong from his role, following the renewal of his appointment until July 2026.
The Vice-Chancellor has filed for a stay of execution and, during a special congregation to honor the Asantehene, appealed for his intervention, warning that external pressures are harming the university's management and could lead to confusion.
