Emirates, the largest international airline, has opened its Emirates Travel Store in Accra, Ghana. This store enhances customer experience with exciting product displays and smart technologies.
This is the first travel retail store in West Africa and the 13th worldwide.
The store is located at Stanbic Heights in Airport City. Adil Al Ghaith, Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations, inaugurated it. He was joined by Abla Dzifa Gomashie, Minister of Tourism, and Joseph Nikpe, Minister of Transport.
Other distinguished guests and media partners also attended the opening ceremony.
Adil Al Ghaith commented on the event. He said Ghana has been a key part of their African network for over 20 years. The new retail strategy shows their commitment to Ghana. It brings their "Fly Better" promise to life.
He added that expert consultation and smart technologies enhance customer journeys. The immersive experiences help customers discover more with Emirates.
The Emirates Travel Store offers personalized service and brand experiences under one roof.
The 310 m² store features an open-plan design resembling a luxurious lounge. It uses Emirates' signature light colors and showcases the Ghaf Tree emblem on its walls.
A highlight of the store is a full-size Emirates A380 Onboard Lounge experience. This allows travelers from Ghana to enjoy a taste of travel from Dubai.
Smart technologies include a 'selfie mirror' for scenic photos that inspire exploration. Self-service kiosks reduce wait times and provide faster service options.
Five customer service counters are staffed by expert consultants. They assist with travel itineraries, reservations, ticketing, and general inquiries.
Emirates aims to deliver top-notch hospitality at every visit to the store. They ensure each visitor enjoys a seamless experience from arrival to departure.
Emirates has been serving Ghana since 2004. For over two decades, they have connected Ghana to global destinations.
Since their first flight, they have transported over 2 million passengers to places like Canada, India, Australia, Singapore, and Dubai.
Currently, Emirates operates daily flights from Accra using a three-class Boeing 777 aircraft.
