Engage and be suspended — NPP warns members over Media General ban

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) is now in opposition. They have banned TV3 and all Media General affiliates from covering their events. This decision is due to concerns over media bias.

Alhaji Masawuud, the party’s 3rd Vice Chairman, announced the ban. He stated that it takes immediate effect.

He warned that any party official who engages with Media General will face consequences. This includes possible suspension from the party.

Alhaji Masawuud explained that the NPP believes Media General provides unfair coverage. This includes outlets like TV3 and Onua TV.

He emphasized, “If any NPP communicator goes on Media General platforms, they will be suspended.” The ban highlights rising tensions between the NPP and the media network.

Media General has not yet responded to this directive.
