Engr. Kwame Adu-Mante celebrates professional milestone with IET Ghana

Engr. Kwame Adu-Mante is a Building Technologist with over 20 years of experience. In 2025, he achieved institutional membership with the Institution of Engineering and Technology, Ghana (IET-GH).

He graduated from Takoradi Technical University with a Bachelor of Technology in Construction. He also holds an HND in Building Technology and a certificate from Obuasi Sec Tech. Over his career, he has gained extensive practical experience in the building and construction industry.

To enhance his skills, Engr. Adu-Mante returned to academic studies. He completed professional engineering examinations for certification. This led to his qualification as a Professional Engineering Technologist.

Engr. Adu-Mante expressed gratitude for his achievement, saying, “This is the day the Lord has made.” His journey highlights perseverance and lifelong learning in engineering.

His success inspires young engineers across Ghana to pursue their goals despite challenges. As Ghana develops its infrastructure, professionals like Engr. Adu-Mante play a vital role.

Currently, he is pursuing a Master’s degree in Project Management at GIMPA. He expects to graduate in January 2026.

Brief Profile

Mr. Kwame Adu-Mante has a diverse professional background. He serves on the Executive Council of the Ghana Independent Broadcasters Association (GIBA). He is also a Board Member of the Effia Kwesimintim Municipal Authority Health Committee.

In 2003, he founded Focus One Enterprise after graduating from TTU. This company evolved into Focus One Group, headquartered in Takoradi.

Focus One Group operates in media, FMCG, and construction sectors. Its subsidiaries include Focus 1 Media, managing several radio stations; Focus One Distribution; and Focus One Construction.

Engr. Adu-Mante also holds directorships at Kess Pharmaceuticals Limited and Olive Health and Diagnostics. Additionally, he supports Bahamus Limited.

For 13 years, he has adopted Sekondi Prisons and provides support every Valentine’s Day. He offers scholarships to students at various educational levels and contributes to community water projects.

His educational background includes a Graduate Diploma in Management from the Strategic Management Institute of Professional Managers in the UK.

Engr. Adu-Mante's commitment to excellence began at Obuasi Secondary Technical School in 1997. After exploring entrepreneurship for over two decades, he has returned to academia.
