A dispute has arisen between Esianfua Royal Estate and Atlantic Lithium. Esianfua, a real estate developer in Mankessim, wants to reclaim land. This land was previously allocated for a mining project. The developer cites “failed promises and a breach of payment obligations.”
The contested land is in the Mfantseman Municipality of Ghana’s Central Region. Atlantic Lithium was granted this land for development. However, Esianfua claims the company has not met its financial commitments from over two years ago.
B.B. Simpson, Esq., legal counsel for Esianfua, confirmed the withdrawal from the deal. He cited delays and unmet obligations by Atlantic Lithium as reasons for this decision.
Esianfua stated, “We cannot continue this deal with Atlantic Lithium.” They expressed disappointment and emphasized they cannot waste their land any longer.
Residents and stakeholders are concerned about the dispute's impact on Mankessim's reputation. Many view this situation as unfortunate and detrimental to investment in the region.
To address these issues, Esianfua Royal Estate has scheduled an emergency meeting. This meeting will occur on Monday, May 11, 2025, at 9:00 AM. It will be held at their office in New Nkusukum near Romowil School.
The agenda includes discussing the implications of land repossession and future development plans. They also aim to address concerns from existing investors and clients.
Roseford Advocates represents Esianfua Royal Estate and has sent invitations to clients and media outlets. They encourage all affected parties to attend for transparency.
The local community is closely monitoring developments. They hope the meeting will provide clarity and restore investor confidence in the area.
