It all started with a signature. Esther Amba Numaba Cobbah needed an endorsement for her IPRA Board candidacy. I was the paid-up member who endorsed her. Our professional paths crossed, leading to an incredible journey.
Esther Cobbah is the President of the Institute of Public Relations (IPR) in Ghana. She is not just any communications professional; she is a visionary and passionate leader. We have both judged the IPRA Golden World Awards (GWA). I have served on this panel for five years, while Esther has been there much longer. This shows the trust and respect she has earned globally.
My admiration for Esther has grown through our shared IPRA experiences. Her membership on the IPRA Board recognizes her vast experience and contributions. She is truly soaring in her career, aiming high with ambition and talent.
I also serve with Esther on the Governing Council of IPR Ghana. I chair the International Relations Committee, alongside her and Ms. Ivy Heward-Mills. Together, we are a small but effective team dedicated to enhancing Ghana’s PR practice internationally.
Long before our committee work, Esther built a transformative legacy with Stratcomm Africa. This agency focuses on total communications and reputation management and was founded three decades ago. Stratcomm Africa celebrates its 30th anniversary this year as more than just a consultancy; it nurtures ideas and trains PR professionals.
On May 16, 2025, Stratcomm Africa will host a Homecoming event. Alumni, affiliates, and admirers will gather to honor Esther's achievements. This house was built on strategy but also values like integrity and service.
Esther Cobbah embodies conviction and quiet strength in communication. Her approach is strategic yet humane; she listens, reflects, engages, and delivers results.
She radiates energy and grace despite nearing “three score and ten.” She works with fresh enthusiasm combined with sage wisdom.
As Stratcomm Africa moves from 30 to 31 years old, I salute Esther Cobbah—mentor, colleague, friend, and trailblazer. May she continue to be guided by good fortune as she impacts others through Stratcomm Africa.
Esther once said that since its founding 30 years ago, Stratcomm Africa has adapted to changes in communication. This adaptability showcases great leadership qualities.
Esther Cobbah is not just following a path; she is creating one.
