Euroget De-Invest S.A., contractors for the 250-bed Ashanti Regional Hospital in Sewua, have criticized President Akufo-Addo's January 4 commissioning of the facility, citing a breach of contract.
In a statement, Euroget revealed they have not been fully paid, the project remains incomplete, and the hospital has not been legally handed over.
"We categorically did not grant permission to any party to enter the site for commissioning purposes," stated Group Chairman Dr. Said Deraz.
They claim the government's actions disregard legal protocols and accuse the President of prioritizing political gains over due process, just days before leaving office.
Euroget has called for investigations and vowed to seek damages for contractual violations.
The hospital, part of a broader healthcare initiative, remains embroiled in controversy despite its potential to enhance healthcare delivery.
