Alexander Kwamina Afenyo-Markin, the Minority Leader, predicts trouble for the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
He believes the NDC will do worse than what they accused the New Patriotic Party (NPP) of. Afenyo-Markin says internal conflicts will soon divide the NDC.
He pointed out that the NDC must choose a successor to President Mahama for the 2028 election. This decision will likely cause significant division within the party.
In a viral video, he stated, “The NDC will soon start experiencing internal conflicts.” He added that they will face leadership issues due to Mahama's single term.
Afenyo-Markin warned of increased voter apathy in 2028. He noted that during their time, they faced similar challenges.
He mentioned turnout statistics from previous elections. The Ashanti Region had a 67% turnout while Volta had only 65%. In Greater Accra, turnout was just 55%.
He emphasized that any government faces apathy before elections. He urged his party to stick together despite challenges ahead.
Afenyo-Markin concluded by saying time will reveal everything about the NDC’s situation.
