Ex-NSA Deputy Director Ohene Djan released after NIB arrest

Kwaku Ohene Djan, popularly known as Osonoba, has been released following his dramatic arrest by the National Investigations Bureau (NIB).

The former Deputy Director in Charge of Operations at the National Service Authority (NSA) was picked up on February 22, 2025, in a swift operation that saw officers trailing him with two pick-up vehicles before taking him into custody.

His arrest fueled speculation, particularly in connection with an ongoing probe into alleged ghost names on the NSA payroll.

As of midday on February 23, he was still under interrogation, though details remained unclear.

The latest update from the NPP Youth Wing confirms his release, but no official statement has been issued regarding the reasons for his detention or any charges against him.
