President John Dramani Mahama has assured Ghanaians of positive developments. These will be announced in the mid-year budget review in August.
Mahama spoke at a durbar in Wa on May 15. This event was part of his thank-you tour. He discussed the government's efforts to stabilize the economy and expressed confidence in their progress.
Since taking office, Mahama's main focus has been economic stability. He explained that the March budget aimed to reduce spending significantly. The saved revenue would go into priority areas as promised in their manifesto.
“I am happy to report that our efforts are yielding results,” Mahama stated. He noted improvements in the local currency and lower prices for goods and services.
The President praised the Finance Minister and Bank of Ghana Governor for their leadership. He highlighted their teamwork as crucial for the economic turnaround.
“I commend them for their close collaboration,” Mahama added. He is optimistic about more good news by August’s budget review.
“I am sure we will have even more good news for Ghanaians,” he concluded. His remarks come as Ghana's economic indicators show steady improvement, boosting confidence in its outlook.
