Experience and diplomacy will guide Ghana’s 9th Parliament – Alban Bagbin

Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, Ghana’s longest-serving legislator, has assumed the role of Speaker for the 9th Parliament.

In his acceptance speech, he emphasized unity, collaboration, and Parliament’s role as a “bulwark of democracy.” Drawing on his four years as Speaker in a challenging hung parliament, Bagbin pledged to foster efficiency and effectiveness in the new term.
