The Federation of Professional Trade Associations of Ghana (FEPTAG) is very concerned. They criticize the government's approach to its free apprenticeship program.
FEPTAG was not consulted about this initiative. Dan Jim Selassie, FEPTAG's Chairperson, shared this with The Ghanaian Times.
He believes this oversight harms the program’s impact and effectiveness. It also threatens its sustainability.
FEPTAG represents around 50 trade associations across Ghana. These include seasoned artisans, vocational professionals, and master craftspeople. They play a key role in setting industry standards and ensuring quality assurance.
