Facilities Association of Ghana (PHFAoG) advocates more collaboration with government

Mr. Boakye Donkor is the Vice President of the Private Health Facilities Association of Ghana (PHFAoG). He emphasized the need for better collaboration between private healthcare providers and the government. This partnership aims to improve quality healthcare delivery in Ghana.

Mr. Donkor noted that PHFAoG has 1,310 members. This makes it the second largest health provider group in the country, after the Ghana Health Service (GHS). The leadership is working closely with the government to address the issue of 68,000 unemployed nurses.

He spoke at an annual general meeting for the Volta and Oti Region branch. This event took place in Sokode-Lokoe near Ho. During this meeting, they launched their third national conference.

The theme for this year's conference is "Unlocking Opportunities." It focuses on leveraging government-private sector policies to boost Ghana's private health sector. The celebration will occur in the Volta Region this October.

Mr. Donkor stressed that effective collaboration among facilities is crucial. No individual facility can succeed alone in promoting quality healthcare delivery.
