Fair Wages and Salaries Commission responds to NCCE division’s planned strike action

The Fair Wages and Salaries Commission (FWSC) has urged the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) Division of the Public Services Workers' Union (PSWU) to reconsider its planned strike on September 18, 2024.

The FWSC expressed regret over the strike decision, emphasizing that negotiations on the NCCE's conditions of service are still ongoing.

The Commission denies using delay tactics and highlighted that talks with the union began in July 2024.

FWSC remains committed to resolving the matter and urged the union to return to the negotiating table to protect the welfare of NCCE staff.
