Anne Sansa Daly has been removed from the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) board. President John Mahama made this decision effective immediately.
Reports indicate that her removal follows concerns about her medical credentials. There were allegations that these credentials are fake.
The Minister of Health, Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, confirmed the revocation in a letter. This letter was dated May 23, 2025, and signed by Callistus Mahama, the Secretary to the President.
The statement said, “I write to inform you that the President has revoked Anne Sansa Daly's appointment.” It also mentioned that Prof. Dr. (Med) Ernest Yorke will replace her on the Board.
The statement requested necessary steps for Prof. Yorke’s swearing-in. It concluded with assurances from the President of the Republic.
